Loretta Sidabrene was born in Klaipeda, Lithuania, to the family of artists Birute Jociute and Eugenijus Mikulevicius. A creative atmosphere surrounded her since her childhood; therefore, her adult path also includes Art. She graduated from the Kaunas J. Naujalis Art School, majoring in Painting. She remembers the brilliant teachings of her professors A. Lukstas, V. Banys, A. Pivoriunas and A. Duda.
In 1989 she immigrated to the United States with her husband Raimondas and daughter Veda. A second daughter, Rasa, was born in 1991.
The artist started studying Commercial Art at Macomb College in 1993. In 1994 she transferred to Detroit Private Art and Design College, with a major in Illustration.
